Cake Benefits - Health Insurance Plans For Small Businesses

[Music] today we are talking about something a little bit different on the show today health insurance i am here with adam from cake benefits and adam i think that a lot of small businesses sort of get a little nervous about health insurance plans because it can be very expensive but some things have been changing specifically here in georgia so i was wondering if maybe you could kind of talk us through that a little bit absolutely we've got a tremendous opportunity here in georgia to look at something a little

different the smaller employer they're all on they mostly all sign up for plans off of the aca off of the affordable care act as they've experienced the rates have gone up tremendously over the years the planned choices there's a lot there's lots of them but the coverages aren't always that good either so anthem got together with the georgia chamber of commerce to create a large group platform where

the smaller employer can apply and become part of that larger group in essence and in the end what they end up with is a large group plan with better benefits yet it's costing them about half as much wow okay so they can actually have this plan cost half as much and then what do the restrictions look like is it something where you're sort of locked in from one year or is there a little flexibility with it how does all that work well actually it's pretty cool because at the moment those that join up in november or
