Harolyn Nimmo, MPH, MBA is a prominent public health and human services executive in Wayne County, Michigan. She currently serves as the Deputy Director and Chief Health Equity Officer for the Wayne County Department of Health, Human & Veterans Services (HHVS). 

Current Leadership Roles

• Wayne County HHVS: Appointed in March 2023, she serves as the department’s inaugural Chief Health Equity Officer, focusing on systems transformation and community-rooted leadership.
• Wayne County Housing Commission: In May 2025, she was one of five members appointed to the reactivated commission, which aims to expand affordable housing and address homelessness.
• Homelessness & Poverty Solutions Committee: In late 2025, she joined this committee to strengthen regional systems of care and advance dignity for vulnerable populations.
