What if I no longer have health insurance?
00:06
- Hi, I'm Angie Robinson
and I'm a respiratory therapist
at Cartersville Medical Center.
I always wear a mask, but
for the purpose of this video
I will remove it.
We realize that unemployment
and furloughs due to COVID-19
are creating barriers to area residents
accessing and affording needed healthcare.
As a result, we have set up
a healthcare advocate hotline
to help patients get connected
with available resources
and understand coverage choices
based on their unique situation,
such as continuing your
employer's existing plan
if you have recently lost your job,
COBRA and other options,
applying for coverage via
a spouse's benefit program,
resources that may help offset
the cost of health insurance,
Medicaid, government healthcare
for those that meet certain criteria,
state and federal health
insurance exchanges,
such as the Affordable Care Act
and how to enroll due
to changing life events.
For help understanding options,
01:10
for health insurance coverage,
call the hotline advisors
at (833) 541-5757,
Monday through Friday
from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm
Eastern Standard Time.
