HealthChoice of Michigan is a program of Wayne County government created to help expand access to quality health care benefits for qualifying small businesses. It offers reasonably priced coverage options through a network of Metro Detroit doctors and hospitals, with programs especially focused on small businesses in Wayne and Oakland counties.
Qualifications and Conditions:
Any individual owner or employee of a new small business located in Wayne County or Oakland County, Michigan, or the families of either are eligible for coverage under the HealthChoice Program.
The business must have at least 2 full-time employees during the Covered Period.
The business must not have more than 50 employees at the time of application approval for the Program.
An individual must not be enrolled in other health coverage.
